3 tricky Italian words for beginners and how to pronounce them

In an ideal world, the Italian words for beginners should be easy and smooth to pronounce. But we know that this is not always the case.

 

There are a few high-frequency words which can be a bit tricky at first.

 

You might ask yourself if there is a way to avoid them, but the answer is no. Since they’re part of the basic beginner vocabulary, you’re very likely to learn them on your first day. Yet, this doesn’t mean that you’ll have to struggle with them.

 

If you know me, you know how much I love to break things down and simplify them. And this is exactly what I did in this video lesson.

 

You’re going to see three high-frequency Italian words for beginners:

 

BUONGIORNO (good morning, good afternoon)

 

ARRIVEDERCI (goodbye)

 

COGNOME (surname, last name)

 

For each word, we’re going to focus on specific tricky sounds.

 

This way, you’re going to learn how to pronounce these words without strugglying. You will become more and more confident and you’ll loose the fear of saying them in public.
