Why are Italian noun genders so important?
Well, Italian is a gendered language, therefore, we should definitely take them into consideration.
We need to know how to choose the right article or adjective, if we want to build correct sentences. It’s also important to learn them in an easy way, in order to not feel discouraged at the beginning of the journey.
I’ll tell you why.
When I first approached German, I was on my own with no one to guide me and had absolutely no idea of where to start. I therefore decided to give language Apps a try, and one of the first things I came across with were nouns.
I have to say, it was not easy. They all seemed complicated and without any logic. That put me off quite a lot and, as a result, I almost thought of quitting German.
I just couldn’t wrap my head around noun genders and always got confused when I came across a new word. I couldn’t tell if that word was masculine or feminine and my brain just exploded.
Then, it occurred to me that noun genders can be tricky in Italian as well, especially if you’re just getting started.
Knowing Italian noun genders is crucial in order to choose the right article and adjective and create correct sentences.
