HOW TO USE NE IN ITALIAN FOR QUANTITIES
Here are the examples we saw in the video:
Quanta pasta prendiamo? (How much pasta shall we get?)
Ne prendiamo due pacchetti. (We’re getting two packages.)
Quante mele vuole? (How many apples do you want?)
Ne vorrei sei. (I would like six of them.)
Quanto latte bevi? (How much milk do you drink?)
Ne bevo una tazza tutte le mattine. (I drink a cup every morning.)
Quanto vino vuoi? (How much wine do you want?)
Ne prendo solo un bicchiere. (I’ll just have a glass.)
Quanti anni ha Luca? (How old is Luca? – Literally, “how many years does Luca have?“)
Ne ha cinque. (He’s five. Literally, “he’s got five.“)
Prendi un caffè? (Are you having a coffee?)
Ne prendo due. Oggi ho molto sonno. (I’ll have two. I’m really sleepy today.)
